Barça Set to Play Inaugural Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
