Renowned Star The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Appearances in Friends and The Middle, Has Died at 60 Years Old.

Stateside actor Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved programs like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60.

The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles, California this Monday having undergone cancer treatment from 2022 onward, per media reports.

"He never met a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones shared in a message.

They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with happiness and energy".

An Extensive Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he played the lead character's sibling.

He was also seen in a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.

He starred as the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, playing a social organizer famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.

In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of well-known programs, such as:

  • The King of Queens
  • Friends
  • "That '70s Show"
  • House, M.D.

His most famous role for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight series between 2011 and 2018.

His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

Away from his acting parts, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was a member of a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Finn guided, supported, and advised many learners over the years and it would be difficult to find anyone who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".

"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted online.

Pat Finn is survived by his spouse Donna, three children, and his family.
