The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. The role possesses the power to change into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that character reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and animated series.
The new cast member will work alongside several other new cast members who will portray the group to the screen, such as chief Mr. 0, portrayed by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Although the role is a important part of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this marks a notable change in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest additional alterations to the plot development.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the part. In addition to their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
