Former President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the family of a Guard member killed last week to come to the presidential home.

He mentioned that he conversed with her family and they were “devastated”.

Mourners assembled over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of Trump’s national effort to support public safety in Washington DC.

She carried herself with quiet strength, a contagious smile and a optimistic attitude that lifted those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of her alma mater, told the press. “She was caring, caring and always eager to support those in need.”

Officials have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of homicide and charges of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had courage,” he told the crowd at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has created a legacy that’s going to last forever.”
